PLEASE NOTE: THESE WORKSHOPS ARE CULTURALLY SPECIFIC AND ARE ONLY FOR WOMEN OF MĀORI AND PACIFIC ISLAND HERITAGE.

WE HAVE OTHER WEAVING WORKSHOPS THAT PEOPLE OF ALL CULTURES ARE WELCOME TO JOIN HERE:

  1. Saturday 25 November 2023. 12 – 2PM. Redlands Centre for Women. Learn to weave a star. Book here.

Maori & Pasifika women, book now into a workshop with Ranu James and Maryann Talia Pau, leaders of the Brisbane based Pacific Women’s Weaving Circle.

Ranu and Maryann are excited to re-activate the Pacific Women’s Weaving Circle in Brisbane, Meanjin.

The Brisbane based weaving artists and creatives are inviting women of Maori and Pacific Island heritage to join them for a weaving workshop on Sunday 12 October 2023.

Cost: $80/pp. BOOK HERE.

What to expect: We will be indoors, seated and working on tables.

We will have a variety of materials, including tear ribbon, pandanus and raffia.

We will also have extra materials for those who want to refresh their skills and make another coaster, from our last workshop.

Materials provided. Pack some light lunch. There are cafes nearby for coffee / lunch / sweets.
